School Age Care
School Age children have a great time at Glenwood! We offer a healthy snack shortly after arrival from school followed by outside time on our playground - a great place to exercise, play and enjoy nature. Our large school age classroom is set up with defined centers of interest to offer a variety of activities. There is time each day for help with homework and fun with friends. On days when public school is not in session, Glenwood is open to our school age children at no extra charge to their parents.
Our Summer Camp provides great fun and ample learning opportunities through planned, theme-based curriculum, age appropriate field trips, arts and crafts and visiting presentations. Weekly field trips can include swimming, skating and going to the movies. We visit area parks, museums, aquariums, libraries, and historical places in Dallas and the surrounding communities. Field trips are scheduled usually 2-3 times per week. All field trips are included in the cost of quarterly supply fees, so all children attend any scheduled trips and events! |
